According to the Sanatan tradition:

Just as a blueprint is prepared before constructing a house or planning a city, the Creator of the universe writes the story of creation in various scriptures before manifesting it.

Similarly, at different times, numerous sages, seers, and enlightened beings composed scriptures under the instructions of the Creator of the universe. From the beginning of the Kalpa, the Saptarishis wrote texts on knowledge, science, calendars (Panchang), dharma, astrology, and yoga to spread their wisdom to humanity.

In Treta Yuga, Maharishi Valmiki composed the Ramayana, understanding its importance for the welfare of humanity and guiding them on the right path. Similarly, in Dvapara Yuga, Maharishi Vedavyasa, one of the 24 incarnations of Lord Vishnu, composed the 18 Puranas, Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran, and the Mahabharata to guide humanity.

In this sequence, during Kaliyuga, the Creator of the universe (Lord Jagannath Mahaprabhu) instructed the eternal Panchasakhas of Golok Vaikuntha — Mahapurush Achyutananda Das, Mahapurush Balram Das, Mahapurush Jagannath Das, Mahapurush Yasovanta Das, and Mahapurush Shishu Anant Das—to write the final scripture, named Bhavishya Malika Purana.

Just as the dates of Amavasya (New Moon) or Purnima (Full Moon) written in the Panchang are never incorrect, the scriptures written under the Lord's divine instruction are meant for humanity's welfare.

These scriptures are not speculative predictions by soothsayers.

All these scriptures are written under the will of the Lord, etched in stone, unchangeable by any nation or science in the universe, except by the will of the Creator Himself.

Bhavishya Malika

The Panchasakhas, under the instructions of Lord Jagannath, composed a vast collection of scriptures about the end of Kaliyuga and the beginning of Satyayuga. These scriptures were kept highly secret to prevent chaos if revealed prematurely. These sacred texts provide mysterious knowledge about the end of Kaliyuga, the appearance of Lord Kalki, and detailed descriptions of how Satyayuga will begin.
