What is Trisandhya?
Often, we have this question in mind: What is Trisandhya? or What is Trikal Sandhya? How is it performed? What is the complete procedure of Trisandhya? What are the mantras involved? This article provides an in-depth explanation of Trisandhya, as elaborated by Param Pujya Pandit Shri Kashinath Mishra Ji over the years. Trisandhya refers to offering prayers to Lord Vishnu at three specific times daily. References to Trisandhya can be found in many scriptures and the teachings of saints. For ages, it has been practiced by deities and people from all walks of life. However, in Kaliyuga, the influence of Kali has led to the decline of Trisandhya. Today, Param Pujya Pandit Shri Kashinath Mishra Ji is reviving and promoting the practice of Trisandhya.
Pandit Ji explains the importance of Trisandhya, saying, "Only those who perform Trikal Sandhya will have the opportunity to witness Lord Kalki." This clearly shows that Trisandhya is a simple yet powerful way to attain divine visions. Many devotees have already experienced the Lord's presence through Trisandhya. The primary focus of Trisandhya is to glorify the Lord, and one of its key hymns is the Shri Dashavatar Stotra, composed by the legendary poet Jayadeva Ji, who also authored spiritually uplifting works like the Gita Govinda. According to the Garuda Purana, those who chant the ten names of the Lord daily attain Vishnu Dham directly. This highlights the immense significance of each hymn included in Trisandhya. Therefore, practicing Trisandhya daily is essential.
