Is the Future of All Living Beings Predetermined?
"Karmānubandhinī manuṣyaloke।"- Bhagavad Gita (15.2)
This means human beings are subject to the bondage of karma.
Human beings' future is determined by their karma from their present and previous births. A living being gets human birth when crores of virtues arise. According to the karma of his last birth, a human being is born into a high, ordinary, or low family.
The path of a living being is determined by the karma done in human birth; that is, the living being has to experience high and low births. Out of 84 lakh births, only a human birth is considered a karma birth; all other births fall under bhog births, which result from the deeds of a previous human birth.
But only in human birth does a living being have the power to determine the future through karma.
Through Trikal Sandhya (praying at three particular times a day, as mentioned in Malika), reading the Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran, and chanting one's name, a human being can transform an inauspicious destiny into an auspicious one and also achieve ultimate salvation.
