According to the Sanatan Dharma, Lord Brahma is traditionally regarded as the creator of the Universe, but as mentioned in Shrimad Bhagwat Maha Puran, Brahma is born from the navel of Lord Vishnu on a lotus and receives the knowledge to create the Universe. 


Brahma creates within the framework of eternal laws set by Lord Vishnu and Sanatan Dharma. According to Brahma Samhita even Brahma prays to Lord Narayana/Vishnu, acknowledging him as the original source. 


So, the original source of all creation is the Supreme Lord Vishnu (Parabrahma/Narayan), and Brahma acts under His direction. Who's supreme name is "Madhav" according Bhavishya Malika scriptures.
